Aikido: Navigation

Overview

Restructuring of existing information architecture to afford easier navigation and a better funnel for new users to start key workflows
As the Aikido site began to expand with additional functionality, the original navigation system began struggle to handle. To address this, a new navigation system was designed. The new navigation allowed for display of primary pages and secondary pages such as learning material. It also allowed for display of important notifications. To enhance mobile experience, primary pages were displayed in a bottom nav-bar with secondary pages nested within a hamburger menu. To improve discoverability and visibility, a dashboard was added. Acting as the homepage for the site, the dashboard displayed important information and actions that were previously not visible to the user. This included, total portfolio performance, broker integration status, top performing holdings, and market news.
